CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. -- Evelyn M. Dearman, a retired secretary and bookkeeper, died Monday, Oct. 6, in Cortlandt Manor. She was 89.
Born in Brooklyn on Jan. 19, 1926, to August and Frida Graf, she was raised in Elmsford and was a member of Alexander Hamilton High School’s class of 1944.
Soon after graduation, she married George (Cully) Dearman. The couple settled n Valhalla, raised a family, and later moved to White Plains.
She is survived by her daughters, Lorraine (Robert) McKeever and Joan (Jesse) Palinkas; and grandsons, Christopher McKeever and Aaron Palinkas.
A graveside service will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Saturday, in Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, N.Y.
