WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Westchester residents making their way out of the door Friday morning had to wonder if it could get much colder.

Despite clear, sunny skies, wind chills between 10 and 20 below zero will linger during the day.

Skies will be clear and sunny on Friday, but there won't be much of a warm-up with highs only reaching the mid-teens. Wind chills are still expected to be well below zero.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind-chill advisory from noon on Friday through 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Snow will begin to move through the area on Saturday afternoon, mostly after 4 p.m. with a high near 28. Up to 4 inches of new snow is possible through Saturday night.

Snow and ice will linger on Sunday before noon before turning over to rain as temperatures rise above freezing.

Colder temperatures are expected to return on Monday with a high of only 26.
