Reminder To Croton Residents: Leaf Vacuuming Begins Nov. 4

CROTON, N.Y. -- The Village of Croton-on-Hudson is reminding the community that leaf vacuuming will begin Monday, Nov. 4 and go through Friday, Nov. 8.

The streets scheduled to be vacuumed, weather permitting, are as follows:

Arlington Drive Benedict Blvd. Cedar Lane Cleveland Drive (Old Post Road South to Piney Point Rd.) Clinton Street Crest Street Croton Point Avenue Devon Avenue Franklin Avenue Hastings Avenue Hill Street Lexington drive Morningside Drive Nordica Drive Observatory Drive Old Post Road South (Cleveland Dr. To Truesdale Dr.) Oneida Avenue Park Avenue Penfield Avenue Piney Point Avenue South Riverside Avenue Sunset Drive Truesdale Drive Wayne Street Whelan Avenue Young Avenue

Residents are reminded to leave only leaf piles at the curbside and to remove all twigs and brush from the piles as it can clog equipment. The Village also asks that residents not park on or near leaf piles as it can slow the crew's progress. Workers will be vacuuming the streets until 7:30 p.m. if needed.
