14th Annual Dobbs Ferry Summer Music Series Continues

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. — The majestic 67-acre Lyndhurst estate on the Hudson River will be tje backdrop for an evening of jazz and a free concert series it's hosting this summer.

The event at the Lyndhurst Greenhouse will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on July 30 and will feature live jazz by Mark Morganelli & The Jazz Forum All-Stars with Vic Juris, guitar, Cameron Brown, bass and Tony Jefferson, drums. Summer cocktails, beer, wine and soul food from Nikki Toi will be available.

According to Morganelli, who also serves as executive director of Jazz Forum Arts, “We’re doubling the number of free events at Lyndhurst this summer, offering eight Thursday concerts, titled Sunset Jazz at Lyndhurst. We hope music lovers will join us on July 30th for a fun time and to help us bring more and more exciting jazz programs into Westchester and the region each year.”

This summer marks the 14th consecutive summer of 24 or more free concerts presented by Jazz Forum Arts. Highlights of the summer concert schedule include a Bird’s Birthday Bash for the finale Aug. 29 at Lyndhurst.

Lyndhurst, a site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, is at 635 South Broadway, Tarrytown. The July 30 event has a $50 minimum suggested contribution, which is tax-deductible to the extent as allowed by law. To reserve, please call 914-631-1000 or e-mail jazzforumarts@yahoo.com.
