Friday, April 26

"Once On This Island": 7 p.m. This year's production of the Peekskill Drama Club. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children and $8 for students. Peekskill High School, 1072 Elm St.

"She Kills Monsters:" 7:30 p.m. Performed by the Croton Academy of Arts Teen Theater Company. Tickets are $10. Croton Academy of Arts, 8-B Old Post Road S., Croton-on-Hudson.

Deuces Child CD Release Party: 7:30 p.m. This contemporary duo offers up a collection of original songs by blending their "Popcoustic" sound with the blues, country and classic rock into a fresh new sound. Admission is $10. BeanRunner Cafe, 201 S. Division St., Peekskill.

A Tribute To Simon & Garfunkel With The Guthrie Brothers: 9:30 p.m. The brothers will pay tribute to the iconic singer/songwriter duo. Admission is a $10 entertainment fee or $5 with dinner entree. 12 Grapes, 12 N. Division St. Peekskill.

Saturday, April 27

Coffee With The Superintendent: 9 a.m. The superintendent will discuss the proposed Peekskill charter school and how it would affect the district. Peekskill Middle School, Ringgold Street.

Croton Earth Day Festival: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is sponsored by The Croton Conservation Advisory Council. There will be food for sale by La Monica Deli and The Blue Pig, with live music by Strange Pools and Rose Coen. There will be also be free native shrubs to take home and tree care advice. Vassallo Park, Croton-on-Hudson.

Poetry Peekskill: 4 to 7 p.m. A celebration of National Poetry Month, sponsored by EMBARK Peekskill.  Featured readers, interactive activities, open mic, raffle, and light refreshments. Suggested donation is $5. Parental discretion advised. Energy Movement Center, 925 South St., Peekskill.

Lines of Reason: 7:30 p.m. Each of the members of Lines of Reason have had illustrious jazz careers, performing as band leaders as well as playing with such greats as Sonny Fortune, McCoy Tyner, Hannibal, Marvin Peterson, and Clark Terry. Admission is $10. BeanRunner Cafe, 201 S. Division St., Peekskill.
