Friday, June 7

Croton Academy Of Comedic Arts Show: 8:30 p.m. The CACA will hold its graduation comedy show at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $5 at the door. 8 Old Post Road, Croton-on-Hudson.

“Wider Than The Sky” Reading: 7:30 p.m. The Croton Free Library and the Hudson Stage Company present a free, staged reading of “Wider Than the Sky: The Mystery of Emily Dickinson,” written by Barbara Dana and directed by Anthony Arkin. Songs and incidental music by Martin Hennessy, pianist and musical director, are also featured.

Saturday, June 8

Young Artists Showcase: 7:30 p.m. Join the Croton Free Library for an evening highlighting the talents of our local classical musicians. Alexander Bushkin, Sam Cooperman, Emeline DiCroce, Lily Evans, Kimberly Hemmerling, Aron Licht, Julia Myers, Martin Rubin-Weiss, Jasper Rogal and others perform vocal, violin, cello and piano works by Bach, Brahms, Debussy, Mendelssohn, Menotti, Satie and others. Croton Free Library, 171 Cleveland Drive, Croton-on-Hudson.

Artist Reception At Hendrick Hudson: 3 p.m. The Reception for “Nature and Spirit: Landscapes and Waterscapes”, Oils by Cheryl Vlachos will be hosted from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Hendrick Hudson Free Library.

Artist Reception At Hendrick Hudson: 2 p.m. The reception for “Face Value”  Photography by Loomis Mayer will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Hendrick Hudson Free Library.

Cortlandt Rotary Annual Celebration: 11:30 a.m. Join Cortlandt Rotary Club as they celebrate another year, install new officers for the 2013-14 Rotary year and honor those in our community that have contributed to our area. Admission is $49 per person. Cortlandt Colonial Restaurant, 714 Old Albany Post Road, Peekskill.

Woman’s Club Game Afternoon: 2 p.m. The Woman's Club of Peekskill and Cortlandt is a group of community minded women fundraising to raise money for the Charity Account. Come meet the friendly group of women, play some games and win some prizes. They have various raffles prizes and even a door prize. $10 admission. Murial H. Morabito Community Center, Westbrook Drive, Cortlandt Manor.

Croton-on-Hudson Farmers Market: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Croton Municipal parking lot, Croton-on-Hudson.
