VA Hudson Valley Spotlights Animal Therapy

CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- VA Hudson Valley goes to the dogs May 16 to May 21 when it partners with Hearts 4 Heroes to bring a Canine Handling Clinic for veterans and active-duty military members at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Montrose campus of the VA Hudson Valley Health Care System.

The clinic, presented by Hearts 4 Heroes will take place in the courtyard behind Building 15 at the Montrose location at 2094 Albany Post Road, from 10 a.m.to 4:30 p.m. daily. 

The clinic is free to veterans and active-duty military members and will also include an agility course for the animals. The event is a partnership between Hearts 4 Heroes and the Recreational Therapy department of VA Hudson Valley.
