The studio was launched in Cortlandt Manor in 2006 by mother and daughter Debra Diaz and Alexis Menendez.
When Diaz died of colon cancer three years later, Menendez took over the business on top of her ongoing work as the head instructor.
The studio is intended to give children and teens a safe space to dance, with age-appropriate costumes and routines.
As part of the recital, Menendez's 3-year-oldhter will perform, and Diaz will be honored with a tribute dance.
The high school is at 146 Peekskill Hollow Road in Putnam Valley.
