With temperatures hovering in the mid-90s, the Putnam Kennel Club staged two all-breed AKC shows, running Friday and Saturday at Putnam Veterans Memorial Park.
Dog owners did everything they could to keep their prized pups cool - from spraying them with water, to wrapping them in wet towels and offering plenty of water.
The two-day show - 500 dogs were entered Friday, and 600 competed Saturday - included competition for conformation, obedience and rally trials.
