The center will feature task-centered solutions and handholding for technophobes and those who may feel overwhelmed by the accelerating pace of digital change. There is no charge, but free-will donations are accepted. The Center will focus on individualized digital technology solutions and issues surrounding sustainable livelihood.

“We don’t have all the answers”,explained vision-holder John Aigner, “but with the internet at our fingertips, we can help you find them/”

Through a philosophy of “each one, teach one” combined with empathetic guidance, the Drop-in Center will empower participants to build skills and self confidence by finding their own solutions. Located at 2021 Albany Post Road in Croton, the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Hudson Valley offers a variety of community services and welcomes all persons regardless of their faith, gender or racial identity.

Every Thursday afternoon, from 3 to 5 p.m. the center will offer free practical assistance with smart phone issues, internet skills upgrade advice, career services and related challenges. Based upon the need, hours of service may be extended. No appointment is necessary. Participants will be encouraged to help each other in uncovering solutions. Guest facilitators will be welcomed and actively recruited. Specific topic events, such as Home Business Ideas or Better Phone Photos will be announced in advance from time to time, as needs arise or interest warrants.
