CORTLANDT, N.Y.  -- Fieldhome honored Frederick N. Rossetter on May 15 for 50 years of service to the Board of Field Home – Holy Comforter.

Rossetter joined the Field Home - Holy Comforter Board of Trustees in 1963 and served as secretary for more than 12 years and became the board president in1981. He continues to hold that title today.

Rossetter oversaw the merger between the Field Home and Home of the Holy Comforter, which was completed in 1984. Over his tenure the campus has continued to expand to include a child daycare center and an assisted living complex.

Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino’s chief of staff George Oros and Yorktown Supervisor Michael Grace were both on hand to present proclamations from their offices. Rossetter also received proclamations from New York State Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, New York State Senator Charles Schumer and Westchester County Legislator Michael Kaplowitz.

Kaplowitz declared May 16 Frederick N. Rossetter Day in Westchester County, which was displayed on the electronic message board by the Westchester County Center.
