Red Ribbons Symbolize Drug Free Pledges In Lakeland Schools

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Students and staff in the Lakeland School District's secondary schools took part from Oct. 26-30 in the annual Red Ribbon Day activities. 

Students made pledges then tied ribbons on classroom doors and trees to be alcohol and drug free.

Copper Beech Middle School in Yorktown Heights and Lakeland High School in Shrub Oak made pledges then displayed ribbons as a symbol of intolerance towards the use of drugs.
