MONTROSE, N.Y. -- Lisa Schuchman is going from BOCES to Hendrick Hudson.
The Hendrick Hudson School District named Schuchman its new Executive Director of Pupil Personnel Services Friday. Schuchman was most recently Director for the Center of Special Programs at Southern Westchester BOCES.
“I am excited to join the Hendrick Hudson administrative team and look forward to working collaboratively with families, students and staff to provide the highest quality opportunities and programs for our students,” Schuchman said.
During her tenure at BOCES, Schuchman oversaw seven different locations throughout Westchester County, collaborating with administrators, clinical staff, related service providers and district staff members. She has worked to develop community work-based learning relationships for students, both on and off campus; increased special education classes based on district needs; developed and implemented an Intensive Day Treatment Program for elementary students; and implemented research-based reading and math curricula, the district said.
“Lisa's skills, experiences and collaborative approach make her an excellent fit and meet our needs perfectly. We're excited to have landed such a top-notch leader," said Superintendent Joseph Hochreiter said.
