Police: Man Shot In Head Inside Stamford Convenience Store

STAMFORD, Conn. — A man suffered life-threatening injuries when he was shot in the head in the West Main Convenience store in Stamford shortly after 7 p.m. Thursday, police told the Stamford Advocate.

The victim, who was 19 or 20 years old, was a customer in the store, the Advocate said. A 5-foot-7 black male was seen fleeing while carrying a small-caliber gun, the Advocate said.

The gunfire came about 15 minutes after shots were reported on nearby High Street, although it was not known if the shots were related, the Advocate said.
