Hackensack police charge 3 with cocaine for sale after traffic stop

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: Hackensack police nabbed a trio of men in a traffic stop who they said were carrying nearly six ounces of cocaine for sale.

Officers Mohammad Sheikh and Keith Marrano stopped the vehicle for an equipment violation at Main and Passaic Streets around 9:40 p.m. Friday, Capt. Timothy Lloyd told CLIFFVIEW PILOT this morning.

They smelled burning marijuana from inside the car, obtained consent to search it and found the cocaine and six cellphones, Lloyd said.

Charged with distributing drugs on school property and ordered held on $35,000 bail each in the Bergen County Jail were Khalil Mohammed, 24, of Hackensack and two Bronx men, David Cole, 41, and 49-year-old Robert Agard, a Trinidad & Tobago national.
