MILAN, N.Y. -- New York State Police from Rhinebeck have arrested a 51-year-old man from Greenwich, Conn., as a fugitive of justice from New Jersey, police said.

The arrest stemmed from a motor vehicle stop for speeding on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Milan on Saturday, police report.

A check of the driver’s license revealed that the driver, identified as Kenneth Wheeler, had an outstanding warrant from Hudson County, N.J., for misapplication of property over $75,000, a felony, according to police.

Wheeler was arraigned in Milan Town Court and remanded to Dutchess County Jail on no bail, officials report.

He will appear in Dutchess County Court on Monday, according to police.
