State Police In Cortlandt Make Leandra's Law Arrest

CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested a Putnam Valley man and charged him with felony DWI under Leandra's Law on Friday, Dec. 20, police officials said.

Police responded to an accident on Oregon Road in the Town of Cortlandt. During the investigation, it was determined that Keith F. Morris, 30, was intoxicated, state police said. 

At the time of the accident, Morris had three children in his vehicle. Morris was charged with a felony under Leandra's law after providing a breathalyzer sample that said his blood alcohol content was .15 percent, according to state police. 

Morris was remanded to Westchester County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail/$10,000 bond, police officials said.
