Police Pursue Armed, Dangerous Man, Accomplice Last Seen In Cortlandt

CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- A Cortlandt man who allegedly is wanted for menacing with a firearm and for outstanding warrants in New York and South Carolina is being sought by New York State Police, according to police.

New York State Police are looking for Cortlandt resident George J. Foster Jr. who is wanted for allegedly menacing with a firearm and reportedly has outstanding warrants in New York and South Carolina.

George J. Foster, 33, is described as a white male, 5 feet, 6 inches, and approximately 200 pounds, police said.

He was last seen on the 200 block of Locust Avenue in the Town of Cortlandt early Tuesday morning at about 3:30 a.m., according to police.

Foster may be may be accompanied by Renee Jones, 33, who is also wanted by the State Police from an alleged unrelated incident, said police.

Foster should be considered armed and dangerous, according to police.

There is a large ongoing state police presence in the Locust Avenue area at this time, said police.

If Foster is observed, please do not attempt to take any action on your own, and call 9-1-1 immediately, according to police.
