Tiffany Costa turned herself in and was arrested at police headquarters in Yorktown on Tuesday, Feb. 28, in connection with an incident in Jefferson Valley the week before, police said.
Police said Costa had gone to the boy’s East Main Street home to demand that he apologize to her son.
Police did not say why the apology was being sought.
Costa is accused of frightening and scratching the boy when she grabbed him, police said.
The charge of endangering the welfare of a child is a Class A misdemeanor, police said.
Costa is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on Tuesday, March 28.
