Dean Picariello, 22, of Montrose, also known as "DJ Dino Mack," was arrested on April 24 and charged with second-degree rape, a class C felony, second-degree criminal sexual act, a class D felony, and second-degree unlawful imprisonment, a misdemeanor. The arrest, by Montgomery barracks New York State Police, followed a lengthy investigation stemming back to an incident that occurred on Jan. 22, police said.  The investigation revealed that Picariello allegedly raped a 14-year-old female victim in the Town of Newburgh in Orange County, police said.

Picariello befriended an underage female and unlawfully removed her from her residence in Newburgh, according to police. Picariello was temporarily living out of a motor home in a local department store parking lot where he engaged in unlawful sexual activity with the 14-year-old female, police said.

Further investigation revealed that Picariello was currently out on bail from Westchester County on an unrelated but similar crime that he was charged with on Dec. 19, 2012, police said.

Westchester County Police Department subsequently apprehended Picariello and he was remanded to Westchester County Jail for the outstanding bench warrant that was issued for the charges in their jurisdiction.

Picariello was arraigned by Newburgh Town Justice Richard Clarino and bail was set at $15,000 cash or a $30,000 bond and he was remanded back to the custody of Westchester County Corrections. Picariello is due to appear in the Newburgh town court on May 7. Picariello had been operating his business and performing at several youth parties in the Newburgh area.
