Fugitive From Justice Apprehended In Cortlandt

CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- A wanted 29-year-old New Jersey man was apprehended during a traffic stop in Cortlandt on Tuesday, state police said.

Lincoln Balfour of East Orange, who was pulled over on Croton Avenue, was found to be a fugitive from justice as a result of a bench warrant issued by a New Jersey Superior Court judge, according to state police.

Balfour was arraigned by the Town of Yorktown Court and remanded to Westchester County Jail without bail, pending extradition proceedings in Westchester County Court in White Plains.
