Cortlandt Man Accused Of Cutting Route 9 Telephone Pole

CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- Deputy Sheriffs in Putnam County arrested a Cortlandt Man for stealing cable from a telephone poll recently, according to Patch.com.

Mark A. Picariello, 37, was arrested along with two other men after a motorist notified the Deputy Sheriff of the three men tampering with the utility poll. Picariello and his associates allegedly had taken 40 feet of cable off the poll, Patch.com said. 

Picariello was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and third-degree criminal mischief and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, according to Patch.com.
