Cortlandt's New Winter Forecast Provides Polar Vortex Details

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The most recent long-range winter forecast from Accuweather, released Wednesday, suggests residents of Westchester should get prepared for another bout with the polar vortex.

Experts say they don't expect the extreme cold to be as persistent as last year, but that residents should expect to see cooler air start to come in around November with the bone-chilling bursts holding off until January and February, Accuweather said. 

Long-range forecasters also expect residents west of the Interstate 95 corridor to experience above average snowfall through the winter months.
