Indian Point 3 License To Continue Operating Without Recertification

CORTLANDT, N.Y. - Even if the license for one of Indian Point's reactors is not re-certified by Sunday, Entergey, owners of the nuclear power plant, said it will continue to operate the plant, reported Time Warner Cable News.

According to Time Warner Cable News, Entergy said it applied for a renewal license more than five years ago. During that time period, it has had a high safety rating from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the story said.
