CORTLANDT, N.Y. – Town officials are using $2.5 million in surplus funds to pave and resurface roadways in the community, The Examiner News reported.

Town Supervisor Linda Puglisi and other officials surveyed nearly 70 miles of roads to determine those in most dire need of work, according to The Examiner News.

The funds are derived from Cortlandt’s savings; no borrowing will be required to complete the project.
