CORTLANDT, N.Y. – First responders with Cortlandt Regional Paramedics and Cortlandt Community Volunteer Ambulance Corps now have access to a new software application that can help them access important information during emergencies.
The program, called Echo Responder, allows field firefighters and emergency medical technicians to view and update incident data using a smartphone, tablet or computer, according to a press release from Echo Responder.
The software also allows emergency officials to create incident pre-plans and get turn-by-turn driving directions.
Echo Responder uses touch-screen navigation and is compatible with Android, iOS and Web devices.
Cortlandt Regional Paramedics responds to about 5,000 calls per year, and is a town agency.
Cortlandt Community Volunteer Ambulance Corps is run entirely by volunteers who serve Cortlandt, Buchanan and Montrose.
