Her owner, Celia Valez asked Daily Voice to ask readers for help finding the family puppy.

She is an 18-month-old teacup Yorkie that went missing on Tuesday July 24 between the hours of 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Luna was last seen on Wildwood Street in Yorktown Heights, where the Valez family lives.  

"We are absolutely heartbroken and have been in contact with the Vets, shelters and animal hospitals in the area," Valez told Daily Voice, as well as television news and the Yorktown Police Department.

The family also distributed posters with Luna's photo and more details in the Shrub Oak, Jefferson Valley, Yorktown and Mohegan Lake areas.

Luna was a service dog for the elderly and her family is offering a $300 reward for her safe return.
