Road Closures Announced For Yorktown Street Fair

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Motorists are advised certain roads will be closed Sunday, Oct. 9 during the Yorktown Chamber of Commerce annual Festival & Street Fair.

The fair will be held on Commerce Street and Veterans Road.

Closed roads

The following roadways will be close from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.:

  • Commerce Street, between CVS Plaza and Hanover Street
  • Veterans Road, between Commerce Street and  Maple Hill Street.

Parking restrictions

  • There will also be temporary parking restrictions on Veterans Road, between Commerce Street and Maple Hill Street, starting Sunday at midnight.

The fair, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., will feature over 250 vendors, food and music.

The American Red Cross will run a blood drive at the Yorktown Community Cultural Center. The Senior Luncheon will also be returning this year at the Yorktown Community Cultural Center, providing a fun environment for our local seniors to gather and enjoy a great meal.

Kids of all ages will enjoy the amazing rides, attractions, and fun food provided by Funtime Amusements. From open to close, The Yorktown Festival and Street Fair will provide continuous entertainment, starting with Westchester Ballet Center, Dance For Joy, Cortlandt School of Performing Arts, Sailing Stone, and an afternoon full of fun open mic musical talents coordinated by Bob Hill from Mohansic Grill & Lounge’s Open Mic Night as well as shopping, food and more! The Timeless Torches of the New York Liberty will be joining the festival this year and bringing out their best dance moves. Be sure to save the date as this event is sure to please everyone in your family.
