The first storm is expected to stay offshore and graze Long Island and New England, especially eastern areas, with snow late on Sunday night into Monday. This area, which is on the Northwest fringe of the storm, is expected to see flurries starting in the late morning Monday and lasting through the afternoon.

A weaker low pressure system is then projected to bring more snow activity Monday night and into Tuesday.

There's also a chance for some snow Wednesday into Thursday.

The National Weather Service says uncertainty as to the potential for each of the systems remains high in terms of track and intensity at this time.
