HELLO??!! This is a direct effect from the re election of that dope Mary Foster. Do we really need a grand fire house in Peekskill that is going to cost upward of 20 something million dollars???? The answer is NO WAY. Thank this horrible mayors mis management of OUR MONEY for the loss of jobs in this town. And leesther, that city manager got his direct orders from Foster, all that guy did, was what the horrible person of a mayor TOLD HIM TO DO. Peekskill, we are screwed. As a victim of a head on collision on the bear mountain parkway, 5 years ago, I completely agree with the proposal of putting a barrier up on the Bear Mountain. I was hit by a teenager who was speeding, and came up to stopped traffic, and instead of rear-ending the car in front of him, he swerved into the oncoming lane and hit me head on, going 50 mph. I had to be cut out of my car, and put in a helicopter and taken to Westchester Medical Center, where they put me in emergency surgery. I had a broken back, and crushed leg. I didn't walk for over a year. If there had been a barrier, this never ever would have happened to me, or the many many others hit head on on this road. This poor kid is deceased because of the lack of the barrier. How many more times does this have to happen before they just put up a safety barrier so more people dont die or become seriously injured? View Comment
