It's embarrassing to even live in this village, they waste so much of ours money on this stupid crap!!!! But yet it still takes over 10 min to get an ambulance.. They need to do a better study on how to improve things that matter. Leadership needs to change, this mayor can't make any decisions by himself, he needs his village manager(who in himself is horrible) to course him along. This needs to stop!!!! View Comment

Good luck seeing Mr.Nagel on the ambulacne!!! Hes been in Career Fire agencies his whole life, he knows nothing about running an EMS agancy. With all these articles pointing out all the negatives about Croton EMS why would they even think someone would want to come and join. Croton EMS has way to many problems for someone who wants to learn and help. They don't have the leadership, training equipnement or even the mainpower to train someone anyway. Its a disfunctional organization that needs to go fully paid ASAP to actually protect the village the way it should be. View Comment

Croton EMS will be runed by the Village in 2013, why even have vollys then, if they think they have what it takes to do the job let them!!! . Croton EMS is struggling with 7 members total currently at this point. They may have a roster of 35 or so, but if you look at the amount of people that ride its about 7. With the paid staff being there over a year now the response times still are between 9-12 min witch is embarrassing considering they have paid coverage. How do they expect to recruit when there building is falling apart, members are slobs and now they have to take orders from a washed up career guy that was appointed this position and thinks he can fix EMS!! It's a sinking ship and sinking fast!!! There lieutenant has had 16,500 dollars for over a year!!! There is not 1 sign up anywhere in Croton. Other agencies can have items posted around within week, what's the difference in Croton, the difference is the lack of trust from the Village, why do you think the village got to appoint a Departnment Head? Because they got to choose who they wanted and would get the results they wanted from this person. The village wants EMS to fail, however they don't want to be the ones in the spotlight when it goes south. They will leave that to the current officers and members. The village makes it impossible to get anything done in a timely fashion, therefor when the public does not see results they look at the officers and leaders of EMS, but in fact it's delayed by the village due to whatever BS reason they give at that point in time. My suggestion... Go to Cortlandt Vac or Ossining EMS, why join an already sinking ship where leadership lacks and will continue to lack in 2013. Go somewhere you can make a difference and not have to deal with all the drama going down in CEMS.
