Backed by the Working Families Party , that should say it all to you. Haven't we had enough of these liberals here in New York? We are at the bottom of the list when it comes to companies wanting to come her to start a business. We are #2 in the exit of people leaving for other states. You can thank the Democrats and their policies. I say to you Mr. Falk we New Yorkers have had enough with the Democrats and the Working Families Party. Look what we got with the last change. When will some women learn that they are NOT immune to retaliation. We live in a different time. When you raise your hands and strike someone, that someone may raise theirs also and strike back. Those days of gentlemen being nice have gone thanks to the women libbers. You expect men to hold the door for you but you take his job when you get the chance. The next time you raise your hands think about the person at the other end. Think about what they may do. That goes for both male and females. View Comment
Just like a Cuomo, never tells the truth. Bob Grant once said “Mario asentta mme. Tu sei propio nu’ sfaccime!” Translated : Mario, listen to me, you’re a real ‘sfaccime!’)
Now as to the word sfaccime, the closest translation in English is scum. [ an offensive term for a person or group of people regarded as contemptible or worthless ] I would guess that about sums them up.
She lives in her own little dream world. New York State is losing residents each and every day. Where are these jobs that she says are being created? New York State is at the very bottom of the list when it comes to places to start your business. It is however near the top of the list for taxes. View Comment
Acting just like a democrat. They, democrats seem to think they are not subject to the laws they pass. Just look at our President for example.
Comes election time please remember the Non-affortable Health Care Act that. Democrats like Mr. Maloney, helped pass. The one that was negotiated behind closed doors and with not one republican voting for it. View Comment
What else would you expect Mario Cuomo to say about his son? But the facts are there. You can see that he wasn't very good when he was with HUD. He is just another political hack. He is in bed with Sheldon Silver another political hack and probably even worse. Just look at all the scandals within the democratic organization in new York and all those that were arrested for corruption. It is a cover up. The democrats are really good at that. View Comment
In response to Draginc it seems that the writer must be a democrat. Why do I say that, you ask. Well if Draginc was a republican then has forgotten Ronald Reagen's 11th commandment, Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican. The party that is to blame here in New York is the Democratic party. Our state is losing its tax base. The seat in question is presently being held by Greg Ball and he has done a generally good job in bucking the tide of increased taxes and spending.
Something to think about: [And the winner for the worst state for taxes is . . . the Empire State. It's the worst state in the country when it comes to individual income taxes, likely due to its high top marginal tax rate of 8.82%. It ranks 45th for both unemployment insurance taxes and property taxes, and 38th for sales taxes. (It also has the highest tobacco taxes in the country -- $4.35 per pack of cigarettes.) Its best score was 23rd for corporate tax rates. New York was also among the top five outbound states in the United Van Lines migration study.] This is what a democratically controlled state does best. It is time for a change here in new York and that won't happen if Republicans don't get their act together. Andrew Cuomo and Sheldon Silver are the problems in part. Now when it comes to the election in November we have a republican and we have:
[ Justin R. Wagner- In addition to running on the Democratic ticket, Wagner is also running on the Working Families Party ticket.] I want you to take special note of his party affiliations. He is just another tax and spend Democrat. Just do a little research on the " Working Families Party" . Think your taxes are high now, just wait.
If we don't change something in Albany in November, we will no longer be the Empire State. We will be the broke Empire state.

This is the women that voted FOR the Non-affortable Care Act. It seems that she didn't care about her constituents then but now is worried about saving a few dollars for a few people. What abouit the cost of medical care? Did she not read the ACA before she voted on it? She is almost as bad as Chuck Schumer when it comes to press coverage. View Comment
Just a note, just what does Nita Lowey know about poverty?
New York Democrat
Rep. Nita Lowey
$41.2 million in 2010From $15,395,036 to $67,025,000. Rank: 11th in House. Assets: 34 totaling $15,395,036 to $67,025,000.
36% since 2004
From $15,395,036 to $67,025,000. Rank: 11th in House. Assets: 34 totaling $15,395,036 to $67,025,000. Maybe if she shared some of HER wealth there would be less people in poverty? View Comment
Maybe the answer to OUR education problems could be solved by looking at all those countries, 17 , that are in front of us in overall education out come. This Common Core is a sham. It is worse than the old " progressive Education System" of the 50's! The three R's. When you master them then you can add all the frills.
The United States has spent over 16 Trillion dollars on the "war on poverty". Has that reduced poverty? I do think you know the answer to that. Just what do you think a few words from this President are going to do. He can't even b get the economy in to high gear. His handling of health care has done nothing to improve the overall situation. As far as our military capability, have you seen what he is doing to that? We are becoming a third world despot, with Obama as the head.
I think that Marcia Bystryn is looking at the wrong person to blame for the problems. It is the MTA that is to blame. Just what are they doing with the taxes they are extracting from us. It seems that the MTA answers to NO ONE especially the taxpayers. I would suggest that Marcia start a campaign to hold the MTA accountable for the service or non-service that is being provided.
I also think that the people that use their own vehicles to commute should NOT be taxed to subsidize those who ride the rails or buses. Do you think it is fair for them to pay for someone to ride a bus or train? View Comment
Are you kidding me with this one. Is this how you waste the taxpayers money? We are drowning in taxes and this is what you are wasting your time on? The State is trying to take our weapons away and trampling on the second amendment and you are worrying about a " killer whale" ? I think it is time to get YOUR priorities straight!. Taxes and our rights under the constitution are certainly a top priority and the " killer whales " are not.
Just when will this project be approved? It is starting to sound like the XL pipeline. We need the taxes generated by this store. There are some in Yorktown that want our town to be like, well maybe Cold Springs? Well it is NOT Cold Springs.
There are a lot of people living here in Yorktown that are having a hard time b/t local taxes and school taxes. It seems that some don't seem to mind that the school taxes go up each and every year. I and many others live on a fixed income and don't have the luxury of our incomes increasing every year. In fact did you see the massive increase in the Social Security payments? Well neither did I, but I did see an increase in my Medicare tax. The new store would not only increase the tax base but would offer jobs to people in the community. We need to grow the economy of Yorktown. People are not only leaving Yorktown but are leaving the state in droves. Go to the next meetings about Costco and tell Mr. Bianco and Mr Patel to get off their ARSES and do something about pushing this project through!! This stalemate, 2 to 2 is NOT going to be tolerated! Call them and tell them you want them to stop stalling the project. email@example.com

Are you out of your head or are you independently wealthy? We rank third in people leaving states for other states. Only New Jersey and Ct rank above us. A door knob would doi, a better job as governor than King Cuomo!
And if her name was NOT Kennedy, would the outcome be different, you bet you. Does anyone know what a thyroid pill looks like? http://www.webmd.com/drugs/drug-7033-Synthroid+Oral.aspx?drugid=7033&drugname=Synthroid+Oral&pagenumber=2... http://www.webmd.com/drugs/drug-9690-Ambien+Oral.aspx?drugid=9690&drugname=Ambien+Oral&pagenumber=2 . To me they certainly look different. It is just a case of another Kennedy getting away with breaking the law. Started with the grand father and has continued on. View Comment
