Motorists planning on traveling on a portion of the Taconic State Parkway can expect overnight lane closures for several weeks as crews perform construction activities in parts of Putnam and Dutchess counties.
Beginning on Sunday, Oct. 8, there will be single lane overnight closures from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on the parkway between Route 301 and I-84. Closures are not expected to occur on Saturday nights or over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
The closures are expected to end on Friday, Dec. 1, when crews are expected to complete work in the area.
There will be posted detour signage and motorists have been advised to follow the instructions of any flaggers in the area directing traffic.
