Music Festival To Close Down Road In Yorktown

YORKTOWN, N.Y. - A stretch of Veterans Road will be closed on Saturday in Yorktown as the local Lions Club celebrates their annual music festival.

The Yorktown Police Department issued an alert to local residents that Veterans Road will be closed between Commerce Street and Maple Hill Street between 6 and 10 p.m. on Saturday for the “Saturday Music Festival,” which the club is sponsoring at the Jack DeVito Veterans Memorial Field and Gazebo.

The event begins at noon on Saturday, featuring local bands, food and vendors. Police cautioned that there will be a heavy pedestrian presence in the village all day and have requested that motorists drive slowly in the area and yield to pedestrians.
