Icing Causes Road Closure In Peekskill

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. - Frigid temperatures and a water main break has led to road closures and low pressure at the faucet for certain Peekskill residents in the New Year.

The Peekskill Water Department announced that they were working on a major water main break on Monday morning, which led to extremely low water pressure for residents throughout the city. The Department of Public Works also temporarily kept Lower South Street closed overnight due to icing related to the weather.

A second water leak was reported in the south end of the city late on Monday night, though the water department has reported that the issues have since been resolved.
