BEDFORD HILLS, N.Y. – The annual Northern Westchester Hospital Golf Classic drew 120 golfers, supporters, volunteers and friends to GlenArbor Golf Club in Bedford Hills on June 19 and the outing raised more than $150,000 for facility improvements and new technology for the Mount Kisco hospital.

“These donations are especially important since Northern Westchester Hospital is a nonprofit institution, which relies on financial support from private donors to fund critical investments in new technology and modernized facilities,” said Dr. David Miller, chief of anesthesiology at Northern Westchester and event chairperson for the past five years.

The golfers enjoyed a round of golf followed by a buffet dinner in the clubhouse and an awards’ ceremony. Roque Baecker, Albert Chance, Shaun Powers and Doug Smith were the members of the winning foursome and Michael Rait earned the title of pitch-off winner.

“This is always a wonderful opportunity to remind the attendees about the innovative and advanced care that their support enables us to provide to our community,” said Hatsy Vallar, president of the Northern Westchester Hospital Foundation.

This tournament’s Gold Sponsors were Brain and Spine Surgeons of New York, Anita Grover, M.D.,Tom Hargrove, Northern Westchester Anesthesia Services, PC and White Plains Radiology.

The Silver Sponsors included Empire General Contracting, Mount Kisco Medical Group, Caryn and David Schechtman, Schiavetti, Corgan, DiEdwards, Weinberg & Nicholson, LLP, Somers Orthopedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Group, LLC, TD Bank, Turner Construction Company and Andrea and Bruce Yablon.
