Local Youth Wrestlers Advance To State Tournament

CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. -- Youth wrestlers from Cortlandt Manor, Arlington and Carmel have excelled in regional competitions to advance to state championships.

Aidan Miller of Cortlandt Manor, Dillion Arrick and Timmy Bova of Arlington placed first in their respective weight classes at the 2017 NY-USA Super Regionals to advance to 2017 NY-USA Youth State Championships, which was held on Sunday, March 12, in Binghamton. 

At the Youth State Championships in Binghamton, Bova and Miller both placed first in their weight classes and Arrick was runner-up in his.

Additionally, Miller, Arrick, Bova, along with Landon Miller of Cortlandt Manor and PJ Duke of Carmel, placed first in their respective weight classes at NYWAY Hudson Regional Qualifier to advance to 2017 NYWAY State Tournament, which will be held on March 18 and 19 in Syracuse.
