Lakeland High Inducts Two Coaches, Two Teams Into Hall Of Fame

SHRUB OAK, N.Y. -- Lakeland High School inducted two retired coaches and two sports teams into the 2015 Athletic Hall of Fame at halftime Friday as part of the school's homecoming football game vs. Byram Hills.

Inductees were: 

  • Dennis Robinson, who spent 30-plus years as a physical education teacher and 20-plus years as athletic coordinator at Lakeland High. He led Lakeland to three Section 1 baseball titles as head coach, 1993, 2002 and 2010. 
  • Mike Robinson, who spent 30-plus years as s physical education teacher at Benjamin Franklin Elementary School and 30-plus years as assistant baseball coach at Lakeland High. He also served as a basketball coach (boys and girls), girls lacrosse coach, assistant varsity football coach and assistant coach to several state champion field hockey teams. 
  • The 2006-07 girls basketball team.
