Lakeland Field Hockey Wins Sixth Straight State Title

SHRUB OAK, N.Y. -- Lakeland High School field hockey team defeated Garden City 3-1 to secure the program's sixth consecutive Class B state championship on Sunday, according to LoHud.com.

Lakeland got on the board early thanks to a corner that resulted in a rebound goal for Emily Power, LoHud.com said. 

Molly Fitzpatrick netted two goals to help lead the Hornets to their 52nd consecutive victory, LoHud.com reported.
