Hendrick Hudson High School Inducts Six Into Hall Of Fame

MONTROSE, N.Y. --- Hendrick Hundson will be inducting a new class into its Hall of Fame in October.

The district announced its 2015 class, which will be inducted in a ceremony on Oct. 2 at Cortlandt Colonial. The inductees will be honored on Oct. 3 at halftime of the homecoming football game.

The 2003 boys soccer team finished 18-2-2, winning the sectional finals. Coached by Roger Arnold, the team featured back-to-back Con Edison award winners in Brian Kuritzky and Will Sprouse. The team eventually made it to the state semifinals, becoming only the second boys soccer team in Hen Hud history to make the final four.

Aaron Corbone, class of 1973, was a three sport athlete who was rated the top hammer thrower in New York in his senior year. Corbone was a starter on a basketball team that won the league championship and was the leading scorer on the Hen Hud soccer team.

Alex Kuritzky, class of 2003, was the most decorated goalkeeper in Hen Hud history. Kuritzky was two-time All Section, winning numerous awards while netting 17 shutouts, a Hen Hud and Section 1 record. His 17 shutouts ranked 5th all-time in state history.

Brian Zubradt, class of 2004, was an All-American in the pole vault and won numerous honors in track and field. Zubradt was a multi-event scorer for Hen Hud's only Westchester County Championship team and later continued pole vaulting at Brown University, earning several All Ivy League honors.

Caitlyn Welch, class of 2004, was one of the most decorated volleyball players in Hen Hud history. Welch was a member of four league championship teams and four Class B Section One championship teams. Welch had 325 kills during her senior year.

Ken Harbloc, class of 1966, was a dominant pitcher at Hen Hud, leading them to championships in 1964, 1965 and 1966. He earned all-league and all-county recognition and was a captain as a senior.
