Lauren Siegel and Emily Sullivan are swimmers on the Hen Hud, Croton and Somers merged team coached by Kevin Flynn. Siegel and Sullivan have participated on the varsity team since their middle school years.  Sullivan will be returning to the state finals for the second consecutive year, while Siegel makes her inaugural appearance this year in the state finals. Both Sullivan and Siegel have qualified for the state meet as members of the 200 medley relay team, along with their teammates, Skylar Adams and Rachel Townsend of Somers High School. Sullivan handles the butterfly stroke in the relay, and Siegel takes on the freestyle. This relay team broke a school record this past year with their time.

Sullivan has also qualified for states in the 200 individual medley, where she holds a school record as well. She also holds school records in 100 butterfly, 500 free and 100 breast. Siegel also qualified for the state meet in the 200 individual medley as well. She also holds a school record in the 100 backstroke. Athletic director Tom Baker was excited about their accomplishments and was looking forward to them enjoying their experience at the state meet.

“Emily Sullivan and Lauren Siegel are both highly decorated swimmers for our team," said Baker. "They have represented Hen Hud so well across the section, and I couldn’t be happier for two of them as they head up to Ithaca this weekend. I wish them the best of luck and hope they really enjoy their experience there this weekend, with so many other accomplished swimmers across the state.”
