Hen Hud Grad Angela Marriott Earns Neac Rookie Of Year

MONTROSE, N.Y. -- Angela Marriott, a Peekskill resident and Hendrick Hudson High School lacrosse graduate, has been named NEAC Rookie of the Year at Morrisville State College.

Marriott, a midfielder, posted 35 points on 23 goals and 12 assists to go along with 31 draw controls, 19 ground balls and seven caused turnovers.

Her assist total was the seventh-highest across the conference and she also ranked 11th in the NEAC in draw controls despite missing five games due to injury.

She scored at least three points in four separate contests offensively while also landing her a NEAC Defensive Player of the Week selection on the year. Marriott's efforts helped the Mustangs earn the second seed in the NEAC Tournament with an 8-1 conference record.
