Thom, who became the leading scorer in school history Jan. 22 by surpassing Nick DiMaggio's 1,087 points, equaled the 44 points scored by Croton's Jim Falter in the 1990-91 season. Fred Browne holds the school record of 47 points in the 1956-57 season.

The 9-7 Tigers trailed 17-10 after the first quarter. Thom ignited the comeback, making 16 of 22 shots, including seven three-pointers. He also had 10 rebounds and four assists. Jason Howald had eight points and six steals for Croton.

"After a slow start, we turned up the defense and won the second, third and fourth quarters," said Tigers coach Bill Thom, who is Ian Thom's father.

Croton next plays at Westlake at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
