Croton Volleyball Takes Fox Lane In Four

BEDFORD, N.Y. -- Following a tight loss in the first game to Fox Lane in a Section 1 volleyball match, Croton rebounded with a forceful performance Friday.

Croton went on to take the next three games and walk away with a 26-28, 25-23, 25-20, 25-19 win over Fox Lane.

“The team stayed together and that was the key to the win,” Croton coach Robin Cooke said. “They kept their unity and it helped carry them. They never got down on each other and continued to give each other the encouragement they needed.”

Ashley Latimer had a match-leading 15 kills for Croton and collected five blocks. Tess Judge added 10 kills, Lena Quinn finished with eight and Toni Vernon contributed six. Setter Meghan Clarry registered 34 assists.
