The marijuana was found in the football section of the locker room, according to Superintendent Edward Fuhrman. On Tuesday, state police used drug-sniffing dogs to scan the locker room area. No individual students were searched or scanned and no further drugs were found, Fuhrman said.

Several players were banned from participating in football for one week and coupled with injuries, left Croton too shorthanded to play against Putnam Valley, Fuhrman said.

The Croton-Harmon Homecoming game will now be played against Briarcliff on Saturday, Oct. 7, at 3 p.m., Fuhrman said.
