Cortlandt's Tori Jarosz Earns Conference Honor For Marist Basketball

CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. – Sixth-year senior Tori Jarosz, a senior from Cortlandt Manor, has been named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Female Student-Athlete of the week, the conference announced.

Jarosz, a Lakeland grad, currently leads the Red Foxes in points per game with 14.5, rebounds per game with 9.8, and is averaging 28.3 minutes per game in the team’s first four games of the year. She played in high school at Lakeland.

Last season’s All-MAAC First Team and All-MAAC Tournament Team selection, Jarosz has 11 blocks on the season and 106 for her career, just 56 blocks away from the Red Foxes all-time career mark. Jarosz is also the next closest Red Fox to the 1,000 career point mark with 798 points.

Currently pursuing her masters in integrated marketing and communication, Jarosz was named to the MAAC Honor Roll for the 2014-15 season. She is a sixth-year senior after transferring from Vanderbilt University.

Up next the Red Foxes head to the Gulf Coast Showcase for a three game tournament in Estero, Fla. First up is nationally ranked Louisville on Friday, Nov. 27. Tip for the Red Foxes first game in Florida is scheduled for 5 p.m.
