This year the Town of Cortlandt has given the growing league it’s very own home field at town hall, complete with new dugouts and a new electronic scoreboard.
“This is our first 'solo' opening day, as we are a fairly new league in our third season, and in the past, we have always been included as part of the Cortlandt National and Cortlandt American Little League opening day ceremonies,” said league treasurer Stacey Retallick. “While the baseball leagues are split between the Hendrick Hudson district and the Lakeland/Yorktown/Mahopac districts, the softball league is a combination of both, and also welcomes players from Putnam Valley and Peekskill to play.”
The Cortlandt Town Hall Field is located at 1 Heady Street in Cortlandt Manor.
