WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Archbishop Stepinac High School will open its doors to the community for a free information night to discuss the Catholic high school admissions process on Sept. 26 at 7 p.m.
The school aims to provide local families with useful information on admitting their son or daughter into any Catholic high school in the area.
“The admissions process to our Catholic high schools can often be an anxious one for parents, especially those new to the process,” said Stepinac Principal Paul Carty. “We want to provide a resource for anyone who has questions on how they should prepare their child and what tools they will need in order to admit their child into our school or any other Catholic high school.”
The information session, which will take place in Stepinac’s auditorium at the school's campus on 950 Mamaroneck Ave. in White Plains, is open for anyone to attend and will focus on parents of eighth grade boys and girls. During the seminar, there will be an overview of the Catholic high school admissions process, including information about open houses, the TACHS exam, scholarship and financial aid programs, “shadowing” programs, acceptance letters, and the selection and registration process.
