Jose A. Bautista, 24, of Canyon Lake, Texas, was arrested after his ex-girlfriend filed a complaint of aggravated harassment, alleging that he had repeatedly made harassing telephone calls to her, Capt. William McNamara said.

Deputy Sheriff William Rossiter investigated the woman's complaint and was able to obtain an arrest warrant from the Town of Carmel Justice Court, said McNamara.

Rossiter located Bautista in Carmel on Friday, Feb. 24, and arrested him on the outstanding warrant, charging him with aggravated harassment and criminal possession of a weapon after an expandable police-type baton was found during the booking process, McNamara added.

Bautista is being held in the Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash bail.
