Moriarty has been the head athletic trainer at Pace University for 35 years and was the department's first-ever full-time certified athletic trainer in Pace's history when he was hired in 1981.   In addition to his athletic training duties, Moriarty has served as chairperson of the Health and Wellness Curriculum Department for the last 28 years. On top of the chairperson role, he also serves as an adjunct professor in the College of Health Professions, teaching care and prevention of athletic injury, wellness and fitness, and golf courses. Moriarty has also served on the Pace University Wellness Committee and is a voting member of the Pace Athletics Hall of Fame Committee. For his first 17 years, Moriarty served a dual role as the head athletic trainer and head equipment manager.   Moriarty has touched the lives of countless student-athletes over the years. His commitment to his professional can be seen every day in the preventative care, therapy and rehabilitation that he provides on a daily basis for Pace's 14 NCAA Division II athletics programs. Moriarty has also helped develop several assistant athletic trainers along the way including Scott McIver, head athletic trainer of Manhattanville College.   A graduate of Springfield College and Long Island University, Moriarty and his wife, Eileen live in Poughquag, N.Y. They have three children Taralyn, Rebecca and Connor and a granddaughter, Brooklyn.
